What I Have To Say:
I have to say this is the best fighting game ever and so far the best Mortal Kombat game ever, giving the fans what they want. And if you're new to this klassic game, relax, the story mode shows all the previous events that occurred from Mortal Kombat 1 to 3. You'll get to see the hidden truth and secrets from each of the kharacter's bio's. The game gives something new to the fans such as the X-ray mode which is when you injure the enemy fighter and you see the damage each hit causes to the other person, also there is the Challenge Tower which is a set of over 300 challenges that you must complete to unlock a secret at the end which seems easy but the higher the challenge number, the harder the challenges become. "The Krypt gives you a chance to unlock many fascinating things and there is a somewhat scary easter egg if you remain idle in the krypt for a little bit. A simple and easy way to learn your fatalities since everyone loves to do when every fight is over can be learned through the new Fatality Practice Mode which allows players to practice their favorite characters fatalities until they have perfected them. Plus there are many crazy stage fatalities that will keep you stunned and excited just like the x-ray moves, all of which never get old! The game itself contains a little more than the usual amount for a fighting game and is recommended for people at least 16 years old. The game is faster than any Mortal Kombat with excellent combo systems and damages. The reboot of MK is showing that it deserves the title as fighting game of the year with it's Ladder mode, Challenge Tower, Tag Team Ladder, and also the endless opportunities to play against many other players with online fighting. If your into fighting games this is the game for you, it definitely beats Street Fighter and Tekken. Believe me, once you become skilled in the game everything will be easy and playing this, you won't be disappointed.

When it was first announced during 2010, many were at first worried because of the recent failures of MK games that were released including MK:Armageddon which was considered the worst MK game of the series and was highly shunned, so with this the idea came that a new MK might be a bad idea. But when game videos and finally the demo was released, that was when jaws hit the floors and stayed there, for Midway and Netherealm Games teamed up to create what would become a definite fighting game to have in your collection. The game has received many positive reviews from gaming websites and shows worldwide for making it a groundbreaking reboot of the fighting series, receiving mostly 8/10's and 80's with many places including IGN, which gave the game and 8.0 and G4 (specifcally X-Play) which gave the game 5/5 stars. The only negative reviews the game received was the unfairness of the final boss in the game: Shao Khan
Reviews about final boss:
"Needlessly Cheap"- Game Revolution
"forces you to fight cheap tactics with cheap tactics, instead of a fair fight, like the other nine matches it takes to get to him"- IGN
"forces you to fight cheap tactics with cheap tactics, instead of a fair fight, like the other nine matches it takes to get to him"- IGN
But in my opinion after finally being able to beat the final boss in both Story Mode and Arcade Ladder Mode the game itself overall is a definite game to have in your collection and has alot of play and replay value in it to assure that you won't get bored of it for a while. I bought the game 2 weeks ago and has barely scratched the surface of different things to do in the game and can't wait to go online and challenge different "fighters" around the world. I give the new MK reboot to the series a 100% and a 10/10.
